To dissolve lip fillers, you’ll need to receive injections of hyaluronidase (Hyalase) near the filler. Hyaluronidase is a concentrated synthetic form of an enzyme that naturally occurs in your body. When injected, it begins to break down the filler, speeding up the dissolving process that would take place over time. It doesn’t just dissolve lip fillers, either. It can also dissolve fillers in your cheeks, under your eyes, and any other area — as long as they’re HA fillers. What To Know Before Dissolving Your Filler Corrective procedures, mainly when dissolving filler, may need numerous appointments and retreatment if desired. Before deciding on a course of treatment, patients must be well-informed and well-prepared. Here are the factors: Timing Consider the time because edema is normal after filler therapy. You should wait at least two weeks before determining whether to dissolve your fillers. Multiple visits Depending on the treatment area and degree of correction necessary, you should anticipate a minimum of two to three sessions. Your outcomes may look worse before they look better. Treatment areas may appear temporarily sunken after filler dissolution.
